Greetings Vanillaholics! I just want to say Happy 4th of July! As the daughter of a Marine Corps veteran, and the wife of an Army veteran, I just want to express how excited I am to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country! I know things aren't as great as they could be, but our country is still a pretty great place to live. I have so many fond memories of growing up here, raising my children here and now as I get older, slow down and approach my retirement years, I appreciate even more the freedoms allowed by living here. Some of that springs from being able to take my joy of creating vanilla extract for my own personal use and having it turn into this little cottage business. Free enterprise is a lovely freedom that isn't necessarily supported in other countries. I have ancestors who date back to the American Revolution who have fought and sacrificed to keep our nation free. I hope you all have a wonderful, safe weekend celebrating with friends and family.
